Hey guys and ghouls! I’m calling this one my DIY Spider Egg Sac Halloween Garland. Doesn’t it just sound so gross?!
It’s no secret around here that Halloween is my absolute favorite! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… I’m creepy all year round, I’m just much more vocal about it in October. 😉
Our last house didn’t have a fireplace, but our new house, the Rad Rambler (you can read all about it, HERE) does and I’m so excited about all the fun holiday garlands and decor that are now a possibility! Like this Spider Egg Sac Halloween Garland.
You can find almost all the materials to make your own DIY Spider Egg Sac Halloween Garland at the dollar store.
Here’s what you’ll need:
-Spider web (I used two bags)
-large fake spiders
First, lay out your creepy cloth. I like to kind of rake my fingers against it to make it more holey and distressed.
Now, remove the spider webbing from the bag and fluff it by pulling and separating it.
Once it’s fluffed up pretty good lay it across the middle of the creepy cloth and fold the creepy cloth around it. Kind of like a burrito.
To finish, take a few pieces of wire and wrap + tie them around to cinch your little Spider web burrito (ew!) on the both ends and a couple places in the middle.
Now simply hang it up and add a few big spiders using the same wire you used to cinch the ends.
That’s it! You can add a neutral felt ball garland and some plastic, decorative chains, too.
Maybe next time my kitchen remodel will be done and my living room will be clean enough for me to take photos over the aforementioned mantel instead of in my backyard. Maybe.
For all my local peeps, I’ll be demoing this live on ABC 4’s Good Things Utah on October 12 @ 9:00 AM. Eek! Don’t miss it!
